Michael Gardner, communications director for Christian Care Ministry (CCM), and I discussed CCM’s innovative health program, Medi-Share. Calling into my show for family caregivers on 10/1/2017. In addition, Michael share about how Medi-Share specifically provides great value to caregivers.
One of the greatest challenges for caregivers is isolation. Medi-Share speaks to that isolation and brings community to its members. In our discussion about the community of Medi-Share, Michael highlighted one of the special features of this innovative program.
One of the unique things about the Medi-Share program is that I can communicate with other people in the community—in particular, the people with whose bills I help share. So, I can reach out to them and actually communicate with them, and they can communicate back with me. We find at that point, the members really appreciate that. They know who they’re helping, they can communicate with who they’e helping. – Michael Gardner
Medi-Share is a healthcare sharing ministry where members share each other’s medical expenses. Members of Medi-Share have a God-honoring choice for their healthcare and although not insurance, Medi-Share is acceptable under the law.
- The average cost of Medi-Share is around $300/month, and offers seven different program options to choose from with flexible features to meet their needs.
- Since 1993, members have been caring for one another through medical bill sharing—with more than 300,000 believers across America helping one another.
- Members never have to worry about their healthcare dollars funding procedures that don’t fall in line with their Biblical values.
In a recent chapel held at Christian Care Ministry’s Florida headquarters, I sat down with the company’s CEO, Ted Squires.
